Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} RECEIVED MAY 7 1927 W/S. CWB. S.E. W/O.{Mr Oldham} E.G. Mr. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} BY/AHS. c.Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Seeley/EH. 48410 BY2/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 6.5.27. 40/50 HP. CHASSIS. SPRINGING. In regard to our conversation of yesterday afternoon, we propose to modify our springing for the Continent to meet the conditions that you laid down. This means that for all European Countries we shall have one form of springing which will only differ from the English type of springing by having the springs 5% stronger than the actual calculated poundage, from our present methods, for both front and rear springs. If of course any special car requires different treatment, we shall be quite prepared to spring such a car to meet the special conditions which are put up to us at the customer's request. We of course do have occasions when certain customers will insist on having stronger springs. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
