Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /GR. {George Ratcliffe} I/JAB.12.I.39. DAILY REPORT. Paulin Bentley II. - B-27-LE. Connecting rods assembled and bearings oil pressure tested, O.K. Cylinder bores inspected and P.426 pistons .300" raised crown fitted. Sump assembled O.K. and cylinder head fitted with .030" klingerite gasket. H.P. petrol pumps fitted to battery box in frame and direct line made if required. Existing pumps left on dashboard with dummy pipes and wiring (Sr.) Ignition distributor fitted to unit (special governor). Engine replaced in chassis. 1.7/8" induction system and carburetters fitted.
