81282' To (Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from ROY.{Sir Henry Royce} (RG.{Mr Rowledge} ROY{Sir Henry Royce}3/MG9.12.32 As you are aware, we have been in correspondence on various occasions with the Shell Company, regarding variation in deliveries of Air Board Fuel to Specification D.T.D.134, and until recently they have suggested the matter was under discussion with the Air Ministry, and finally referred us to the latter on the matter. We took the stand that we, as users, and they, as suppliers, should be in a position to settle such matters, and attached is their final reply. Before replying to this, would you kindly let us have your comments. (a) We advised them definitely in September that we had found distinct variation in such Fuel, and gave them specific instances.
