Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} /Thn16/H22.6.23. re. 40/50 CHASSIS. SPARKING PLUGS. We understand from the stores that the stock of Z22 Plugs is now very low, and that arrangements have been made between Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} and Ms. for Z22. Plugs to be replaced by C65.103 type. We cannot trace having received any instructions since BY {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} /Shn3/DB {Donald Bastow - Suspensions} 9.5.23, which confirms that C9 and Z22, 6 of each, were the standard Plugs for the 40/50 chassis. If it is agreed, we shall be glad to receive instructions that the standard plugs for the 40/50 Chassis are to be C9. and C65.103, 6 of each. The only experience we have had with the C65.103 type of plug is with the 1 dozen Plugs of this type handed to us by Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} as per his memo Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 2/LG11.6.23, which have been on test since that date and have not given any trouble.
