40/50 CHASSIS - IGNITION PLUGS.

I have been discussing with Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} , the position in regard to plugs, owing to the fact that the C.O. have informed me that Z.22 have gone out of manufacture.

Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} , has been testing C.65 Lodge plug, and is of the opinion that this is identical with the Z.22, so far as the virtue of the former were concerned and considers that it has not the weaknesses of manufacture of the C.59.

In view of this therefore, I have agreed to 250 of these coming in, which I would like the Test Dept. to try out as soon as possible. As a matter of fact, they should be in the Stores and available at the moment.

In the event of the Test Department not being in agreement with Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} , we would be able to decide this quickly and fall back on the C.9 until we persuaded the Lodge people to produce some more of the Z.22's.
