We do not think that there is any necessity to take precautions against a customer interfering with the pump (N.Sch.2830) The spring is held from flitting out on undoing the 2 studs which hold the cover by the pedal ball end being jammed in the slot, hence the top cover complete with the filter, the plunger, piston, valve and pedal can be removed as a single unit without damage. It may be advisable to be able to dismantle this at times to clean the filter, but we see no reason why a customer should contemplate taking out the pedal first and in any case this is impossible without first making special tools as the neck of the pedal is held tight in the slot.
