Rolls-Royce, Ltd., LONDON...........C. Copy Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} X1282 Sr3/Crn.9.7.36. Ethyl petrol. ------------ I have read your memo. C5/C6.7.36 with interest, but we must admit quite frankly that as far as we are concerned, ever since the first Bentley arrived in France, we have been using Ethyl petrols, such as "Esso", "Azur", "Pegase", etc. You are doubtless aware that most of these makes of petrol, in any case "Esso" were in existence over here as far back as 1928 - long before the Bentley existed - and were used by most French owner drivers.
