X819. To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from BJ. Copy to LHS.{Lord Herbert Scott} for CSC HEAT TO FRONT FOOTBOARDS. BJ18/H3.10.23. We have a new form of cork matting for floorboards. We have tried this on a car used by LHS.{Lord Herbert Scott} and he con-siders it makes the front seats much cooler. If we send some to you, can you please make a test on a suitable car with a typical scuttle dash, to ascertain what is the difference in temperature to the legs of the driver with and without this cork matting? Also what is the difference in temperature to the legs of the driver compared with the outside temperature of the air. We are anxious to have this test made as quickly as possible, as we are thinking of having the cork matting as standard on all our cars. B.J. | ||
