CHASSIS B.104.HK.{Col. T. Harker - Sales}

Regarding the suggestions by Mrs. Coatelen to include a gauze in the filler cap, this is not considered to be necessary, as in occasional cases such as her own, where a nut or the like has fallen into the crankcase, this is prevented from getting into the oil circulation by the gauze filter in the lower half.

Other than for this reason there is little or no danger of any damage unless the article dropped in is something in the spanner class, which is very unlikely and we have never heard of such a case.

We thank you, however, for mentioning the fact that the nut has come off the filler cap which is coincident with another similar case, and Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} has the job in hand.
