We are much interested to read your Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/LID{A. J. Lidsey}1/NA{Mr Nadin}25 11.32. and to have the further information you give of the effect in the case you mention of ordinary glycerine on the cylinder block water passages. We shall also be glad to hear the result of your testing out the preparation of the glycerine which has a small amount of sodium silicate added. We note what you say with reference to the effect of glycerine on perished rubber and would remark that we, at S. have not been in communication at all with either Price's Patent Candle Co., or any other glycerine suppliers. We are wondering whether you have any information as to whether Price's Patent Candle Co., intend to put on the market any such preparation as 'Prestone' or alternatively to do up in special tins Ethylene Glycol or di-ethylene glycol or whether they are contenting themselves with the above-mentioned addition of sodium silicate. Probably this latter will be the course they will adopt, but we must await your test of it before we recommend it to customers. LID{A. J. Lidsey} H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} | ||
