RE CHASSIS REAR SPRINGS. ------------------- With reference to your BY8/H23-4-20, the only comment I wish to make is that Mr Royce was definitely of the opinion that the present springs are not as well made as they might be, either in the matter of manufacture or material, and that we think it will be desirable to take the matter up with Messrs Woodhead with a view to effecting an improvement which will bring these springs more into line with the drawing. If this were done it is probable that the present springs would be found reasonably satisfactory until such time as we can get new ones going.
