(8) I am of the opinion that our cars will be found generally preferable with present ratio of back axle. It is highly desirable to fit oil retaining discs on this and all cars without delay. to R.A

(9) Side filler to tank as lately designed, if you can conveniently fit the same, so that I could see it, and get acquainted with it.

(10) As regards paint, I do not like the yellow of 1 EX, being very conspicuous, but I prefer a quieter and more serviceable tint, such as grey. [strikethrough]one[/strikethrough] one notices that the varnish turns slightly yellow with age, and tends to make a blue-grey look green, it is therefore thought that a French grey might be better. This appears to avoid blue, using black, white and orange as the component colours (i.e. a warm grey instead of a cold grey) it would not age badly as the yellow of the varnish would not alter it materially.
