X 4050 To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} Copy to CJ. R2/G8.5.20. X. 3482. X. 4050. RE MICHELIN DISC WHEELS. With reference to Michelin Dsic Wheels, the question of the security bolts we ought to easily get over by drilling existing Michelin wheels. I agree to turning off the last of the ribs of the brake drum to make this practicable. As I have written to Mr. Johnson, I think we ought to persevere with the disc wheels in case the customers demand them. There ought to be no difficulty in getting rims rivetted to a disc wheel suitable for a straight-sided tyre. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
