-2- This would appear to suggest that more crowning is required. Will you please look into this matter and make sure that the trouble is obviated on the two special 0.700 lead left hand cams which you are supplying to us. So far as we are aware you have no apparatus at Luton for running cams and rollers together as they will run when assembled. We consider that this is a very unsatisfactory state of affairs as it greatly delays the rectification of faults, such as the one mentioned above and those which have occurred on the parts for the small gear, all of which should have been discovered before the parts left your Works. We are now very urgently in need of the cams and rollers to your M.22186/7/8 which we returned to you on Friday last, and the cams and roller to M.22313/4 which you are making for us. We would point out that nine weeks have elapsed since we ordered the latter parts, while the former have had to be returned to your Works twice for rectification. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
