Gearbox Suspension. It has recently been discovered that the rubber engine mounting on the 20/25 has greatly increased the silence of the gearbox. As the SpectreCodename for Phantom III box is now not sufficiently quiet, being about as good as the pre-rubber mounted 20/25 but not nearly as good as a Phantom, we should like to be able to fit a more flexible suspension. The front rubbers to G.56268/9 are 5-ply canvas and rubber, and we do not see in view of their small thickness how to make them more flexible. Will Hdy{William Hardy} please issue a design more on the lines of the Terraplane engine mounting, together with a suitable stay for location purposes. Ha/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} | ||
