X.7740 31.1.29. X. 7740. DISTRIBUTION BOARD FOR 40/50 H.P. CHASSIS. X.7781db{Donald Bastow - Suspensions} INCORPORATING GREEN LAMP SWITCH. VERSION 1. Applicable to EAC.10 or S.S. Distribution Board which incorporates green lamp battery charge indicating switch unit. ----- (1) The cover of the distribution board shall be removed and the following details inspected :- (a) The cutout lever, for freedom of motion, i.e. without any 'sticking' action; the cutout contact surfaces for correct alignment; and the contact bow spring for suitable tension. Also the cutout contact surfaces for a definite rubbing action between the points after making and before breaking. When the gold-silver points are just making contact, the gap between the armature stop and the magnet pole face should not be less than .012". If it is, the fixed contact point should be raised the required amount. (b) Green lamp switch lever for rocking freedom on its pivot all the way between the adjustable and contact stops respectively and for correct alignment. When the contacts are held together, the gap between the lever (armature) and the pole should be .025" +/- 5. If not within the limits adjust the position of the fixed contact accordingly. Also adjust the off-contact stop so that the gap between the contacts when open is .020 +/- 5 and lock firmly. Contd. | ||
