For the attention of Mr.Neill.

Dear Sir,

Confirming our various telephone conversations and also the visit of Mr.Thacker to our works today (Tuesday) we would like to refer you again to a proposal we have to make in regard to our headlamps.

We refer to the fitting of a small cup reflector suspended from the Biflex bar which would shield the vertical direct rays of light from the bulb filament.

The shield would be polished on the underface so that these direct rays would be deflected back to the main reflector and serveed up as useful light.

We do not object to the direct rays in the downward direction but we definitely object to them in a side or vertical direction.

This direct light is all the more objectionable with the new high intensity bulbs.

Our Managing Director is personally interested in this project and is anxious that we should have an experimental Bentley headlamp made up for us for test with the modification proposed as soon as possible.
