-2- With regard to your statement that the life of the bulbs is reduced due to the extra heating we would say that our Mr.W.O.Bentley has had considerable experience with lamps of foreign manufacture in which a bulb shield is incorporated and he states that the life of the bulbs was quite normal. In one case a car ran 250,000 miles with these lamps without undue lamp bulb failure. We should be glad if you will give the matter your attention and arrange for a headlamp to be modified for our test. You might consider it worth while coming over to Derby to discuss the matter still further with us in which case the undersigned will be pleased to meet you any day next week with the exception of Wednesday. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
