LONDON S.W.1.

For the attention of Mr.C.H.Brooks.

Dear Sirs,

We should like you to supply as early as possible 50 compression rings to the following specification and suitable for 3.500 dia. bores -

.0937 wide (present standard Bentley)
.134 Radial depth.
.469 Free gap.

18 lbs/sq.in. wall pressure.

The rings to have ground finish on periphery and taper on face to extent of .001 on diameter, the rings should be marked so that no mistake can be made in fitting.

We should like to get these rings on an engine with the least possible delay and would appreciate it if you could get them through to us as early as possible, we estimate that this is the proportion ring we require to give us the same performance as the ring fitted to 3½ litre Bentley.

Our Order Office has been instructed to issue an official order for these rings.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
