Referring to E1/M11.2.31 I understand from PN{Mr Northey} that the Lucas xxxxx dynamo which he lent him to test was a very old one. I, therefore, endorse E's view that we should obtain an up-to-date one for analysis and examination.

In view of our business relations with Lucas I suggest that ROY.{Sir Henry Royce} would be able to fix up for the loan of one and this obviate our purchasing one for which we should have no subsequent use.
