To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} X/3525 Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}2/M26.1.23. X.3525 X.2628 We meant to have asked you yesterday whether you hadhad any results from weakening the Delage springs, and testing for the effect of shocks. We have looked into the particulars of the worm and sector, and we cannot find that it differs very much from the 40/50, though it is true that there is a little more friction in the worm. We might point out that we think the pitch angle of the helix given on your label of particulars of the worm is incorrect, and should be 13° not 17°.
