contd:- -2- Could you inform confirm this and could you at the same time give us particulars as to the pitch, diameter, linear pitch of the worm, number of starts in both worm and wheel so that we can make some comparative calculations? We wonder whether you have actually tried on the road altering the lean of the Delage pivots so as to be the same as the 40/50, and whether this had any marked effect on the stiffness of the steering on the locks and at slow speed. What we are interested in is whether all the hardness of the Delage steering is due to the arrangement of the pivots or whether some is due to the worm and sector. | ||
