h - The question of a rexine covered board was raised for the Bentley Myth, but no definite decision was reached. It will probably be necessary to have one or more samples made up and covered with rexine to match the body trimming before any concrete arrangements are made. It was thought that the latest American practice might be studied and, where one could safely do so without offending Rolls-Royce tradition, ideas from these cars might be considered.

j - It was agreed to leave the ash trays as shown on RB.{R. Bowen}13004.

k - The cigar lighter and heater switches to be balanced as far as possible.

2 - REAR WING.

The rear wing to have the raised rib and be separately attached to the body, as per the left hand side shown on the model, but no wheel cover to be incorporated, at least for the first car.

3 - BODY MOULDINGS.

The body mouldings to remain as per the model for the sample car. Wilmot-Breeden to be contacted to reduce further the bonnet moulding. This will probably have to be a pressing, lead loaded, as we understand that, as a die casting, the metal cannot be made to flow to our required length with a narrow section. It might be pointed out that there is a great danger of scrap through polishing and general handling of lengths of narrow moulding.

4 - BUMPERS.

Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}/JD.{J. Draper - Frames} to investigate the question of bumpers. While it was felt that the arrangement of a pressing to cover the bumper springs did improve the appearance, it would probably be impractical. It was suggested that the bumper springs might extend straight out from the chassis frame and turn flat along the bumper inside face. There is, however, the danger that a head on contact, however slight, would transfer shock direct to the frame side members, which I think would be inadvisable.

Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} agreed to contact Lucas personally concerning head-lamps, etc...
