MYTH INSTRUMENT BOARD ETC.
-----------------------

Confirming the discussion held at the Clan Experimental Dept. on Monday, 10th March, herein please note the decisions reached by Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}:-

1 - INSTRUMENT BOARD.

a - That the colour scheme for the R.R. Myth should be as per sample window moulding, i.e. French walnut veneer with dark walnut edges.

b - That the wireless controls should be on a separate panel or formation and placed in the R.H. cubby box, offset above the steering column, as and when required.

c - That the instruments can, in view of b., now be closed up slightly to reduce the depth of the centre panel.

d - That the R.R. main switch should only be used on the R.R. Myth and a Lucas switch be incorporated for the Bentley Myth.

e - That Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} should investigate and probably incorporate translucent dials for the Bentley Myth only, the R.R. Myth to maintain black dials, but if possible at competitive cost, to have diffused lighting and thus perhaps avoid increasing the centre panel width.

f - That the windscreen wiper control knobs and the windscreen regulator control should be more pleasing in appearance. It was agreed that any improvement would be mainly a matter of colour. SAG. will investigate the possibility of these knobs being supplied either in colour to match the trimming, or in oxidised finish.

g - Tool drawer - It was suggested that the grease gun and oil can should be eliminated from the tool drawer and placed elsewhere, probably with the larger tools in the rear compartment. The items thus left to be arranged for in the tool drawer should not exceed the following:-
1 - Adjustable spanner.
2 - 1/4 - 5/16 Spanner.
3 - 3/8 - 7/16 Spanner.
4 - 3/16 Spanner.
5 - Pliers.
6 - Distributor feeler & spanner.
7 - Two box spanners & Tommy bar.
8 - Tyre gauge (? if necessary).
9 - Screw driver.
10 - And perhaps spare bulbs.
