Copy to GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} K/W. Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy} K/KC/DPB/24.3.37. Chassis No.B.97.GP. Engine No.J.6.BY. L.Finch Esq. (Agent:Woodcote Motors). Mileage approx: 5,000. -------------------- Confirming my telephone conversation this morning, we are returning to you the above 4¼-litre chassis, which despite any adjustment which has been made to the engine, fails to give a better oil consumption than 400.m.p.g. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} who has supervised the job from the onset has forwarded on details of the work we have carried out in an endeavour to rectify this trouble to the Experimental Department. The whole affair is most mystifying, especially in view of our experience in the last eight months or so in dealing with cases of this nature, all of which have responded to treatment and have produced positive results.
