X6032 Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/HEW. c. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} c. PN.{Mr Northey} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/HEW5/AD9.7.31. H.F. TYPE ELECTRIC HORNS. It would appear that we have not yet given these horns a fair test in that the makers recommend that the horn should be placed as far forward as possible, outside of the bonnet and not to a dashboard which might vibrate. Messrs. Lucas have improved their Alto and Altette type H.F. horns and we are proposing to fit one of the Altette type with Chromium plated grille front on 18-GIV right in the front of the car supported temporarily for test purposes either on the off side head lamp pillar or the front radiator cross member.
