Experimental Piston Ring Type Spring Rings
to replace plungers - Synchromesh - N.Sch.5065.
Further to our memo E/HDY.{William Hardy}1/HP.13.3.37 we send you herewith, as requested, one additional print off each of RS.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary}456 and RS.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary}457, and three additional prints of RS.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary}458.
We have taken this opportunity of adding a note to the detail of the ring RS.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary}458, requesting that it be made from a small section rolled or drawn, bar bent into a circle, and not parted off a large diameter bar.
This is to ensure that the grain flow in the ringmaterial will be correct.
Kindly destroy the two prints of RS.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary}458 already in your possession, or return them to us for alteration.
