Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Mr. E.W.Hives.

Replying to your favour of the 19th inst., reference HS {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 3/LG. regarding Hartford Shock Absorbers, we note that you are having a certain amount of trouble with the bushes in the aluminium universal joints.

We have not had any complaints whatever in this direction before and do not understand why wear is taking place, and shall feel greatly obliged if you will let us have a drawing showing the manner in which these Absorbers are fitted. At the same time will you please inform us whether you find the pins themselves scored or worn or whether it is only the bushes, and if you could let us have one of these pins or bushes, whichever the case may be, it might help us to determine the cause.

On receipt of the above information we will immediately go into the matter with the greatest care.

Our Director, Mr. V.A.Trier, hopes to call upon you in the near future and will go into the whole question with you.

Yours faithfully,
T. B. ANDRE & CO. LTD.,
