Re. Hartford Shock Absorbers.
-------
The following is a copy of memo' BJ4/H19.6.22 which we have this morning received from BJ. and which has reference to the inspecting of all cars coming in for repairs, and which are fitted with Hartford shock absorbers. You will no doubt do the necessary as far as cars in your department are concerned :-

"It seems very necessary that we should keep a strict eye on all "cars fitted with Hartford shock-absorbers, to find out if they are "really going to wear well. It will be very serious if every car fitted "with shock-absorbers starts making such an enormous noise after running "2,000 miles as the noise created on chassis 81-TW.

"Please report from time to time on any Hartford shock-absorbers "which we find are giving trouble in this respect, and examine all "Hartford shock-absorbers on cars which are sent to us for repair."
