-3- Fitting and Assembly Criticisms Raised Expl. Dept. Production Dept. Remarks 10. When the brake drum is assembled to the axle shaft it is extremely difficult to remove owing to its being located. Can extractor screw holes be provided in brake drum as with other manufacturers 11. With the design PD.125 the brake assembly must be built up in position on the axle, this, from the production point of view is undesirable, and we suggest that the design be reconsidered with the object of producing the brakes as an independent unit. If brakes could be built up as a separate unit, assembly on rail would be facilitated. | ||
