Layout embodying LeC. 2061/2075. This type of joint has run 1623 miles on chassis 9-G-111 without any additional lubrication after the first fitting. On dismantling, both ends were found to be well lubricated, there being plenty of excess oil in the couplings. The splined drive at the front end was well lubricated but there was no excess of oil to this part. The couplings were found to be in good condition and showed no signs of wear. The joints have been re-erected and will be examined after a further 5000 miles. Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /AJL. | ||
