List of faults and required rectifications for chassis 34-GN.

ROLLS-ROYCE CHASSIS 34-GN.

The following points require attention :-

(1) Water builds up in radiator at high speeds. (Washer under radiator cap?).

(2) Oil pressure drop experienced using Motorine "C". (Due to excessive heat of oil?).

(3) Charging rate does not hold headlamps. (Charging rate 13 amps, Headlamps discharge 14 amps., Side and Tail Lamps 6 amps., Centre Lamp 3 amps.

(4) Dashboard lighting is very poor. (More bulbs required). Bulb requires placing over petrol indicator.

(5) Cranks in radiator head, operating the shutters, foul the fan in full closed position.

(6) Bonnet catches do not hold, fit badly. Also centre lock fits badly.

(7) Brake pedal bangs if foot is taken off quickly. Also pedal sticks slightly in guide plates.

(8) Front number plate fixing flimsy (requires stiffening).

(9) Draught on driving side. (Through slot for brake?).

(10) Door handles rattle slightly.

(11) Squeak on off side rear door. (Window frame).

(12) Bad thump in box at back.

(13) Side valences required for front mudguards etc.

(14) New mirror required. (Flat mirror type).

(15) Chromium plating :-

Flaking and rusting on rear box fittings.
on door handles.
(a) Side strips of running boards require plating.
(b) Locking bolt handle of spare wheel carrier req. plating.
(c) Locking plates and lifting rings of Tool Box
(d) Shoe scrapers require plating.

(16) Guards required to prevent mud etc., entering Tool boxes.

(17) Key required for tool boxes.

(18) Front suspension good but not quite right.

(19) Holder of tail lamp bulb is not a good fitting.
