X. 7380 To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to BJ. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}8/M3. 9.26. EAC. 7. 3rd. CROSS MEMBER. Herewith we send N.sch. 2257 shewing the proposed set in the above cross member. The reason for making this drawing is that the first car will have tip-up seats, which in order that the floor may be level, require to be sunk into the floor as indicated on this drawing, and this requires some rather sharp bends in the cross member. Would you kindly say whether you consider the bends shewn are practicable on this size of tube. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
