X200a To G.W. Hancock, Hotel de France, Chateauroux, Indre, France. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}16/KW.26.8.36. We note what you say about the Paris trials car steering. We agree that you should fit the first steering you receive to this car. We are particularly interested in the failure of the Bentley bearings and should like you to make sure that we get all the evidence available. Clearly we ought to get some miles on 6-B-IV as soon as we can to see whether our filtering arrangements and larger oil pump have done any good. Also, do run that clutch with the rubber lining. The Phantom III will be on the road this week-end. Please let me know when you propose to leave France and when we may expect to see you at Derby. We are going ahead with your quarterly complaints and getting something done to put matters right. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
