To G.W. Hancock, Hotel de France, Chateauroux, Indre, France. X200a Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer}22/KW.26.8.36. Bentley Bumper Bar. We have to-day sent off to you some new lead weights and studs and nuts, which we wish you to fit to the bumper bar of 6-B-IV. The lead weights are in an alloy of 92% lead, 8% antimony, which is twice as hard as pure lead. The object of this is to prevent the weights deforming and becoming loose. The new studs are designed to overcome the cases of broken studs experienced by the Paris Depot. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/F.J.Hardy. | ||
