To E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} c. to By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. to Sft.{Mr Swift} X327 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}16/KW.20.1.36. Ph.III Diagonal Sheet Metal Frame Stays. Referring to E.2/HP.17.1.36. We have only just got 32-EX car on the road fitted with the first set of these diagonal frame stays. We agree with E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}, however, that in view of the fact that the body is likely to be rubber mounted, these diagonal stays should be fitted to the first production cars.
