An owner who was having a trial run in Croall's trials 25/30 told me that he had already had a run in a Lincoln Zephyr the same afternoon and been very much impressed with it.

He asserted that its acceleration figures beat those for the P.III and later I had a letter from him giving the figures below, which he said he had got from the "Autocar" and "Country Life" respectively. I thanked him for them but did not make any comment beyond saying that it looked as though a car of the Zephyr's weight and power ought really to be compared with the 4¼ Bentley rather than the bigger P.III.
