To HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} X4240 E1/M1.7.24. STANDARDISATION SHEET X.4240. RADIATOR & SHUTTER. 20 HP. In reply to your memo. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}5/LG25.6.24., we return herewith the std. sheet signed as requested. Regarding the radiator matrix this should be equal in cooling capacity to our present standard, not less. We cannot see therefore why the revised dimensions for the radiator as fixed in Derby during the time of our last visit, as per memo. BY21/H13.6.24., are not suitable. Regarding the question of the top tank Mr. Royce says - make the radiator as simple as possible, but if you think there is any advantage worth having in retaining the back tank of the radiator as it is on the thermostatic type, such as acting as a separator, Mr. Royce says it may be used.
