A.Robotham, Esq., Rolls-Royce Ltd., Derby. Dear Mr.Robotham, Please do not consider me the perfect nuisance for writing to you once more. The managing Director, and the chief Engineer of the company whose name you will find on the enclosed slip, have seen with great interest Mr.Wood's paper on the subject "Liquid-cooled Aero Engines" published in the July issue of the S.A.E. journal. However these gentlemen knowledge of English is not quite good enough for them to fully appreciate a thecnical publication, so I have been asked to make a translation of the paper, for their own private use. Since the subject refers to your Company's Aero Engine, I would like to know if Messrs.Rolls-Royce, and the Author have any objection to the translation being made, and would very much appreciate your kind assurance on the matter. Confidentially I may add that the same firm are seriuosly considering the possibilities of building liquid-cooled aero engines under licence: they have already a considerable expe rience with a famous British air cooled engine, and I understand that their production of these is of 100 unit per month.
