Rolls-Royce Ltd., DERBY. Dear Sirs, With reference to your letter of the 14th inst. we are proceeding with the E.81540 type of Smithermet as per your wishes. We think it likely that the result arrived at in the graph (see letter of even date to Mr. Robotham) for a Smithermet of the E.80893 type will also suit the other instrument, but in the meantime, we are filling with the "A" spirit. The instrument referred to in the graph is filled with what we have described as "C" spirit for purposes of recognition. Yours faithfully, p.p. S. Smith & Sons (Motor Accessories) Ltd. (Sgd) F.E.
