On May 1st after fitting new top leaf to O.S.F. road spring the car ran 122 miles. The same day battery failing at nr Fleete, causing car to be held up on May 2nd whilst battery was being recharged, as we found that it was impossible to get battery put on during the night.
On May 3rd the car ran 428 miles no 5 tappet locking nut worked loose & required adjusting on the road.
May 4th car ran 385 miles & on the 5th 317 miles & the 6th 234 1/2 miles making a total todate of 2077 miles.
The difficulty of having battery recharged accounts for rather low mileage. Yesterday we had to tighten both spring clips of N.S.F. which were very slack & I think this due to plate not bedding on spring correctly. On the 4th Chassis was oiled & greased all round.
