RECEIVED Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} MAY 9 1922 Now that you have been able to consider with E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} and the other officials what course is necessary to overcome the troubles experienced during the 10,000 miles Goshawk test, please let us know as briefly as possible what course you suggest shall be adopted to overcome those troubles. I refer to more serious troubles mentioned at the Works Conference. Also, what length of time will be necessary to test the alterations to make absolutely certain that they are sufficiently safe to put into production, and on what date you therefore expect to be able to place each alteration in production.
