EXTRACT FROM LETTER DATED 4TH AUGUST 1923
CONCERNING ALTERATIONS TO CHASSIS IN U.S.A.

This 801st car is having a lot of alterations:-
Westinghouse Starter & Generator 6 volt.
Single Wire System instead of 2 wires, and 6 volts instead of 12.
Metal Battery & Tool Box fastened to Frame &
Cross Members.
Battery Box is being put on left side of car
instead of right.
Gear Box has been altered to carry the Main
Switch instead of on the Dash.
The Starter Motor Suspension has been shortened
to make room for a platform cast on Gear Box to carry Main
Switch.
