re. 20-HP. 11 or 12-tooth Axles.

With reference to PN{Mr Northey}'s memo PN{Mr Northey}3/DN/11.7.24.
In replying to this memo, I would like you to point out that my own experience, which has been confirmed by one or two customers, has been that from the point of view of general sweet and silent running ( which CJ. has always put to us as the first essential feature of a Rolls-Royce car) there is a distinct advantage in this respect when the car is fitted with a 12 tooth axle.

Generally speaking, I quite appreciate that from the point of view of performance an 11 tooth axle gives better results.

The report, however, I take it PN.{Mr Northey} requires is information as to the cost of running, performances, wear and tear etc. the comparative details of which [REDACTED] you will be able to supply.
