With reference to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/AA.{D. Abbot-Anderson}7/T.24.11.39, 25.G.VI could certainly be permanently attached to the Transport Dept.

We also propose as far as possible to leave 30.G.VII to run as a transport car. This chassis is, of course, an entirely new type and it is being run to gain experience. In consequence, we shall undoubtedly have to take this car off the road from time to time for examination and experimental work. We anticipate, however, that it should be available for transport work 10 out of 12 months of the year.
