RADIATOR GRILL FOR B.4.

As requested by Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} we send herewith N.Sch.3710. shewing a radiator grill for Bensport when no shutters are fitted and the grill can be attached permanently to the radiator shell. We understand that this scheme is only needed for test purposes.

As in this scheme we shall need to hide up the hole behind the grill we have shewn a grill of .064 wire and three meshes to the inch. The construction of the grill is the same as that on N. Sch. 3706 already sent to you.

We have pointed out that as the shutters have been deleted it should be possible to move the matrix forward .500 in the shell and so be able to move the engine forward a corresponding amount. This we think would be a great help to the pedals. We understand that 'E' is still considering the engine position and we are therefore leaving this move for Derby to deal with should it be decided to abolish the use of radiator shutters.
