BENSPORT RADIATOR.

The decision has been made that we shall fit a stone guard in the front of the Bensport radiator. This is not going to be very convenient to do especially when provision has to be made to remove the stone guard to clean the shutters.

We recommend, on the Bensport car, we dispense with the shutters altogether. We are certain the car will perform just as well without them. We shall save considerable expense and a nice piece of weight.

The Americans were the people who really developed shutters but they have now mostly given them up, although some of the cars have the appearance of shutters they are simply fixed radiator guards.

We do not think there will be any difficulty in arranging for the next Bensport car we are building to be fitted up without shutters, we shall still use the thermostat but this would be used for short circuit in the radiator similar to the scheme which we used on Silver Ghost cars.
