C O P Y. Rolls-Royce Ltd. London..... Tr.{Capt. F. W. Turner - Finance} Copy to VA. SrI/Crn.20.7.37. Servicing cars in France. Confirming our telephone conversation this morning, owing to pressure of work over here at the present time, and the shortage of staff - due to the holiday period - we shall have to alter our usual method of sending off at a few hours notice from London a mechanic here and there, to attend to British cars in trouble. We have been doing this quite a lot of late and it is disorganising our end very seriously. I suggest, therefore, in future that London should wire to us, or telephone as the case may be :- "Can you send mechanic such and such a place" and we will then answer "Yes" or "No" according to our position. Please rest assured, however, that we will always do our utmost to send off mechanics when we possibly can, realizing fully well the question of saving expenses. Sr. | ||
