VAI/ET.5.8.37 - 2 - working day in the week. We can recuperate the lost 8 hours by working an hour extra each day and also work on a Saturday morning. Unfortunately, when your car was with us, we had no hours to recuperate. 4. The working hours in our shops, for 5 days a week, are 8.30 to 12 and 1.30 to 6. We are closed all day on Saturdays and Sundays. Believe us, the above coupled with the holiday period, which is a nightmare, does not aid matters when we have a rush of work. In bygone days, we could have worked on your car Saturday and Sunday, plus overtime as necessary. We regret that this memo is rather long, but we wished to make the position quite clear to you. We attach copy of a memo which may interest you, viz. SrI/Crn.20.7.37 re "Servicing cars in France", which Sr. sent to Tr.{Capt. F. W. Turner - Finance} To sum up, we lost about one working day on the job. VA. | ||
