40/50 HP. CHASSIS - CONTINENTAL TYPE
FOR MR. PASS.

With reference to Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}4/KW.3.5.32. our replies to the various points are :-

(2). There should be no need to make adjustments to the anti-splash device in the radiator filler, and it is arranged to open against a slight steam pressure in order to make sure that water does not escape.

(3). The radiator would be fitted with the latest indented type.

(4). We do not agree to chromium plating wire wheels, as it has been proved beyond doubt that this process seriously reduces the tensile strength of the spokes.

(5). In view of the conditions under which the car will be used Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} agrees that we should recommend buttressed tread tyres.

(6). The items quoted under this heading are, of course, standard features for this type of chassis.

(7). We attach hereto a list of the spares recommended for this case.

(8). We note that a spare wheel carrier is not to be supplied, although two spares are being ordered.

(9). Providing the makers supply the D.W.S. Jacks with all the modifications which they have incorporated in the final set recently supplied to the Experimental Department, there is no objection to them being fitted.
